Beginner Roadmap

There are many great resources online to find golf instruction and coaching. Much of the content is done in partnership with golf manufacturer employees, as well as highly experienced coaches who have helped professional golfers win on all the major professional tours. It’s pretty cool! Golf has grown so much and we’re all lucky there are so many knowledgable golf enthusiasts who can help us all. I am 100% all for it!!!

Breaking down complex concepts and wordy explanations is a skill I’ve developed in business and leadership. Using analogies and simple examples often provides clarity and understanding without the jargon. Jargon just gets in the way some times for learning to stick. You see, not everyone learns the same way or has experience in sports. There are many types of activities that some can do naturally with little effort or frustration. Yoga is not one of those things for me. People I know and respect have found Yoga to fill up their soul, quiet their mind, find peace within, while they develop amazing mind and body connection. Being Flexible and strong helps with avoiding injury and allowing the blood to flow to muscles and organs efficiently. Golf and Yoga go very well together if you think about it. Many good golfers also swear by Pilates.

I will be creating new posts that reference each other to make understanding relatable. The first 30 or so articles I post will focus on the very basic things you need to play golf. Later, I will begin to fill in details I promised to give you. I will create links you can easily click while you’re reading to learn new words.

I will be helping my wife in the beginning. She knows absolutely nothing about golf. I will be teaching her and providing coaching. I will be learning from her just as much or more then she is learning from me. I promise to share both of our journeys.
